I used flowers from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set and leaves from Fluffiest Friends. The background features the Dotted Circles 3D embossing folder. To finish off the design, I added Iridescent Pearls for a bit of shimmer

More Creative Ways to Use the Happy Hibiscus Bundle

There are so many ways to get the most out of this versatile bundle! Here’s a couple of my favourite techniques:

• Two-Step Stamping: On this card, I used the two-step stamping technique to add vibrant colour to the hibiscus flower. Then, I ran the stamped images through the hybrid embossing folder with the coordinating dies to give it that stunning, textured finish. It’s a perfect way to create depth and dimension!

• Blends & Stamping Combo: For this card, I combined two-step stamping with Stampin' Blends markers to create a beautiful hibiscus that seems to "pop" out of a photo frame. It’s an easy way to bring your designs to life with colour and shadow!

New Online Class - Fancy Folds part 11- featuring the new Cake Celebrations suite

I wanted to have something for you to launch into the new year with and I know lots of you love a fancy fold - so I spent some of December designing a fun new class for you. 

What I love about fancy folds is you can use whatever DSP and stamps but for this one I used the stunning Cake Celebrations suite from the Jan-Apr mini. 

You could teach a fancy folds class as I have always done with 5 in one go - but I have also heard so some demos turning the whole class into a weekend retreat and teaching all 10 projects. Alternatively just use one a month and you can have almost a years worth of fancy folds! If that sounds good - then this is the class for you. 

This time we have 10 Fancy Folds including a Shutter card in card, a Slide and Reveal card, a Double Explosion card and a 3 point square card. 

 Included in the class are:

• Measurements in inches worked out for A4 and US letter sizes
• All printable on A4 & US paper

Mix & Match Class Idea - Gold Dipped Cards, Tags for the Season, Joyful Images Ephemera

Would you like to teach a quick and easy class with no prep and design time? FREE printable. 

Just popping in with an extra post today to share a class I taught last week. This was as easy to teach as a kit class and allowed my lovely ladies to either copy my samples or be as creative as they liked with the different elements. 

For each of the ladies I ordered a full pack of the Gold Dipped Mix & Match Cards & Envelopes. They also had half a pack each of the Tags for the Season and half a pack of the Joyful Images ephemera. The great thing with splitting these packs is the designs are duplicated - so everyone gets the same goodies. 

 (You can find them all on page 15 of the mini). 

I also included a couple of yards of the Cherry Cobbler & Gold 1/4" ribbon - although for a lower cost option, you could use the Real Red and White Bakers Twine. 

They made 9 cards each plus some tags and card toppers with the left over items. For our class I provided a selection of festive stamps - but if you wanted to make it a no-stamping experience you could split the Joyful Sayings kit too. I found I didn't have enough tiny greetings from my current stamps, so I reached for the retired Itty Bitty Christmas as well as the current Greetings of the Season.

So here's a thing. When Stampin' Up! started talking about their new cardstock (before launch), there was lots of talk about it being 'white core' - something that I was very familiar with from years ago. 

But actually AT launch, I missed that it was being described as Two-Tone Cardstock - another of its properties! As a result I have caused confusion to some of you and I apologise! They are absolutely the same thing.

Frosted Forest Tips and Tricks Video

Just a quick post today to share two videos I have done for you. First I have some tips and tricks for using the Frosted Forest masks. 

I had a play and found a way to get a more 'dappled' effect on my tree - I think you will like it but see what you think. 

I will also share a show and tell about the other projects I made using the bundle.

Secondly I had some requests for more detail about how I got the best from the Rest Relax Enjoy stamps - so as your wish is my command here is another tips and tricks video.

Would you like to make a gift card holder that really pops? I designed this box to work with the Pocket Thoughts dies and Rest Relax Enjoy stamps to create a floating element inside the box. My class ladies loved it, so I thought I would film it for you. You can see the video here. 

Other projects are shown in the video including some tips on my display projects using the same stamp set and get the most from the Rest Relax Enjoy stamps. 

We also made a simple masking project using the Attention Shoppers goodies. 

And a blast from the not-so-distant past - we made a card using Cheerful Daisies brought right up to date with Petunia Pop cardstock and ink.

Video Tutorial for Front Pop Up Card - From Our Home + July Projects

As promised I am back with some more project inspiration from my July classes. 

I had some feedback that you would like to see some of my class projects created on video rather than just a show and tell - so that is what I have done this month with one that needs a little more explanation. 

This is a simple fancy fold but the key part is knowing where to stamp to get the street running along the back as well as on the front. CLICK HERE to see how along with a show and tell of two more projects. 

 

I made some sample projects for display at class to feature the Perennial Postage Dies (how had I missed them in the spring catalogue?) 

And I also created more projects with the Pocket Thoughts bundle. On the Attention Shoppers bottle one at the end I used a medium pocket on the back of the pull out from the big pocket for a gift card.

INSPIRATION 

I love the new Changing Leaves Hybrid Bundle - so that was the first thing I played with. The sampler shows embossed and debossed, embossed and die cut, stamped and die cut and stand alone die cuts too. 

My sample cards were created as a contrast to the autumn colours. I used Bubblebath and Soft Sea Foam with a contrast colour of Pecan Pie for greetings etc. Most of the elements were die cut in Basic White and then I coloured using Blending Brushes and the inks to get a super soft effect. 

The larger card is A4 folded in half but you could also use US letter for a similar effect. 

I hope you like the projects and find the printables useful in your Stampin' Up! business.
