Happy Valentines - with four project ideas featuring the Country Lane Floral Suite

I am just dropping in today to share four projects made using the Country Floral Lane suite from Stampin' Up! Although these projects are for Birthday, Thank you and Just a Note cards - they would all work as a Valentine's design.

The red card was heavily inspired by one my lovely team member Tracy McDonnell, (The Papercraft Studio) presented at OnStage.

To get the little flower heart on the blue card, I used the large heart flower stamp in Balmy Blue, then stamped over again with the Basic Grey heart and punched out using the matching Country Bouquet punch.

Here are the next two. The first shows the two-step stamping large heart from the Country Bouquet Suite and the second uses leaves and hearts to make a Just a Note wreath. Greetings are from the Go To Greetings stamp set.

Happy Valentines to you all and I will be back with my February class projects soon.

This Month's Class Projects - display projects and more!

Hello my fellow Stampin' Up! demos

Have you had a busy festive season? Did you miss that I had a fun new class available called Music and More that you can make and teach?

It features a theatre / graduation auditorium explosion box and lots more.

If you would like to see more - click here to find out all about it!

I am straight back in to regular classes with my lovely ladies and as well as teaching the classes, we had an after-class party following each one. So I have lots to share!

If you are on my monthly newsletter list, you will also have an exclusive show and tell video for all the class projects waiting in your email inbox. If you are not on my list and would like to join you can do so by clicking here.

So let's get on with with some project photos.

This fun fancy fold project was so much fun to make. I tried to work out the measurements on the video with dubious success. LOL! The ones I gave there will work but these will save extra cutting for my US letter friends.

A4 Thick Basic White  11 1/2 X 4 1/8 score at 3 3/4, 7 1/2 & 9 1/2   for the top piece

8 1/4 X 5 1/2

US Letter 11 X 4 1/4 score at 3 3/4 7 1/2 & 9 1/4 and for the top piece the same 8 1/4 X 5 1/2

We made this fun cascade card using the Two-Tone Flora stamps.

I don't usually teach two fancy folds in one regular class - but these were both very simple to make. I did use the Stamparatus though to speed things up with the two step stamping!

I always give some choice to my class ladies when it comes to Valentine cards, as not everyone will be sending one. With this card we did two lots of embossing as well as stamping - so lots of techniques were used.

From my display here are a few more of my projects. I did a couple featuring the the Share a Milkshake bundle. I love how the Country Gingham DSP went well with this set and used the cone die to make a cone full of hearts. I am really loving the Alphabet A La Mode dies as well as you can see!

Here is a card I showed that featured the Something Fancy dies - we used them in class on the cascade class too.

I think the sampler I made shows the versatility of this set.

I hope you like those projects and I will be back to share more in a couple of weeks!

New Online Class - Music & More

I have been designing a new fun class with a total wow project - the Theatre/Auditorium exploding box. I saw a few examples of this sort of card / box online but it took a fair while to figure it out - but it is all done for you so you can get right to making your own version.  I made one aimed at graduation and one with a theatre/cinema/music concert theme.

As well as the main wow! - we have two more fancy cards plus three regular cards that feature the Enjoy the Rhythm stamps from the mini.

I thought you may need a closer look, so I have made a short video showing each project in more detail. Click below to watch!

The class is just £10 delivered to your inbox, and includes all the following:

  • Step by step videos for all six projects - including the graduation accessories on that option of the theatre
  • Sizes worked out for A4 and US letter card stock sizes
  • An ordering list for all the consumables you will need order for your customers
  • A non-logo photo for you to use to advertise the class and add your own information
  • Reference photos of all the projects
If you would like to order the class just click below and I will send it over to your email inbox.

ORDER THE MUSIC & MORE CLASS - featuring the Theatre Exploding Box

I will be back in a week or so with some project ideas for regular classes including measurements for a fancy fold.

I hope you enjoy this class and that it helps you with your Stampin' Up!  business.

**NOTE: Products used in this class were current at the time the class was designed. In many cases an alternative stamp/punch/die or DSP design will work for the projects**

December Class Projects and more

Hello my lovely Ready Set Demo friends

Are you ready for Christmas? (cue groan for all of us who are hosting or haven't started buying gifts or writing cards...!)

Well if you still have some classes to design for this month, or indeed next month - I hope these projects give you a little inspiration. Feel free to CASE (copy and share everything) or tweak them or use the layouts with brand new Stampin' Up! goodies!

You should already have your Ready Set Demo newsletter in your email inbox and this month it includes a show and tell video of the projects below. If you aren't on my newsletter list, you can sign up here.

Also in the newsletter, I included a link to a demo originally done for my lovely ladies who had asked about the Linen Speciality Paper in the big book. If you haven't seen or used this it is fab.

Framed Florets Card

I always think a thank you card is a great one to make at our December classes - but I gave my lovely ladies a choice of the thank you or the birthday version.

This card was make using the Framed Florets bundle from Stampin’ Up! - if you missed my post with more samples, you can find it here

Jingle Gift Bag

I am so sad to say goodbye to two items that we used in class this month. Both the Jingle, Jingle, Jingle stamps and the Whimsical Trees Embossing Folder are retiring.

We waved them a fond farewell with this cute gift bag.

Splendid Thoughts Card

The Splendid Thoughts stamps and co-ordinating dies are another bundle which is sadly retiring. This design could be made with lots of other flower and leaf bundles though.

We made a card that featured water colouring using our re-inkers. My lovely ladies had the opportunity to either create a colour wash over the leaf images or paint each leaf individually.

Which technique would you have chosen to use?

I hope you find those designs helpful but if you would like to see more, here is a quick show and tell video where I talk through how I taught these cards.

I am just starting to design my next special class so I will be back at some point with a new class for you all.

Until then, happy stamping and I hope you and your loved ones have a happy festive season.

Love Liz X

Tree Rings Dies 'Snow'men

Just popping by with a fun project I made to show my lovely ladies recently. Lots of them have these dies and I was inspired by a Christmas ornament made with actual wood pieces turned in to snowmen.

I cut the bodies using the dies - the toadstool die made a great carrot nose with a little trim and I made the scarves using the Scotty Dog stamps. The eyes, mouths and buttons were made using Basic Pearls coloured with a Basic Black Stampin' Blend or in some cases I used the Enamel Effects paint.

I hope you like this fun project!

My November Class Projects

Usually I share special class or with-product class projects, pre-order projects and other random tips. I wondered though whether you would be interested in seeing my regular class projects each month?

I now teach almost 60 ladies a month, (gulp!), mostly in person in classes of up to 20, and a few each month with at home packs and videos.

(By the way if you are wondering how I found all these ladies, you can have a look at my 'finding new customers' blog post and video here).

Each month we make either two cards and a 3D item, or three cards with one being a fancy fold or other stepped up project.

This month we made a Christmas Robin Card, (robins are the festive bird in the UK and we are SO excited to finally have a stamp for one), a Vintage Christmas Card and a Jolly Holly Gift Box with a cut out.

I made a quick show and tell video on all three projects with some teaching tips included too. Also included in the video are the other projects I shared with my lovely ladies at class to show how our Stampin' Up! goodies can be used.

If you would like the measurements for the box you can get them for free with my newsletter. Get in touch HERE and I will send you the link.  Just pop the words Holly Box in the title.

I am off to Vienna next week to meet up with lots of my Stampin' Up! family including some of you! I can't wait. Do come and say hello and introduce yourself if you see me :)

Until next time, take care and happy stamping

Framed Florets - some tips and tricks!

Welcome to Ready Set Demo

If you are already on my mailing list, you have already seen the video associated with these gorgeous goodies. If you are NOT on my mailing list - please do feel free to sign up HERE.

The Framed Florets, available to customers from 1st November are a great combination of fancy oval dies and florals. I found there were some tricks to layering and getting the best from these dies, which I included in the video below.

I am off to Onstage in Vienna in just a few days and can't wait to find out what Stampin' Up! has in store for us over the coming months. If you are also going to an OnStage event - safe travels and if you are not - never fear I will share here as soon as I can.

Take care until next time

Love Liz
